According to Pareto's principle, we have written this book in a way to give you a little more than the 20% of knowledge you need to speak and understand the 80% of Italian and Spanish.
We have made a list of words from modern books and movies, and then we have put together a group of the 500 that are the most used.
Do not underevaluate this, because 500 words are SO MANY.
In this book there is the 80% of the words that you can listen in a movie or a normal conversation in Barcelona, Mexico City or Rome.
Why we have decided not just to focus our book on Spanish OR Italian, but on both of them ? Because we wanted to deliver to the reader as much value as possible. IN FACT, SPANISH AND ITALIAN ARE SO SIMILAR THAT LEARNING THEM TOGETHER IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO KILL TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE. It is up to you whether to learn each language separately, or the two together, but we strongly advise you to take advantage of the structure of the book, and try to learn them together!
We have mantained as more as possible the literal translation, except when it would represent a mistake or a very weird way to speak.
For every spanish word that we have chosen, we have written the italian and then the english translation. An example phrase is given for each word, following always the same scheme:

We have written the verbs in its infinite form, the adjectives and sustantives in singular form. Then you'll be able to see the conjugated verbs in the phrases.

The result is this book of words and phrases that will enable you to pass from a beginner level to an intermediate-advanced.
