Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Politik - Region: Afrika, Note: 1,3, Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Universität Greifswald (Institut für Politik- und Kommunikationswissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Einführung in die Friedens- und Konfliktforschung, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die vorliegende Arbeit Rahmenbedingungen eines Bürgerkrieges nach Paul Collier, am Fallbeispiel Kongo / Zaire untersucht die Konflikte in Kongo / Zaire mit Hilfe einer, von Paul Collier aufgestellten, ökonomischen Theorie. Anhand dieser Theorie wurden vier unterschiedliche Rahmenbedingungen aufgestellt, mit einer Konzentration auf bestimmte ökonomische Sachverhalte. Mittels der aufgestellten Bedingungen wurden anschließend die Konflikte in Kongo / Zaire untersucht. Diese Untersuchung brachte interessante Ergebnisse hervor. Es zeigte sich zwar das diese Konflikte nicht genau nach Collier klassifizieren kann. Doch wurde klargestellt das das Zusammenspiel aus ökonomischen, gesellschaftlichen, historischen Bedingungen sowie Gier- und Leidmotive ein leistungsstarkes Schema darstellt, mit dessen Hilfe Konflikte sehr genau klassifiziert werden können.
