Description
Cities take on an identity of their own. It is almost as if they become living, breathing beings that shelter all kinds of nefarious characters and vicious deeds. When terror strikes, it is the citizens who respond: fear, desperation, guilt and hilarity often fill the alleyways and seize the taverns and apartments like the plague.
We are most interested in the "terrorists" who dominate the headlines and cause us to look behind us when we walk inside the city's confines. We know they are sheltered by the hugeness, placated by the anonymity, and encouraged by the meekness of victims who do not heed the warning signs. Look out ahead; see that shadow lurking in the stairwell? Is it waiting there for you? Only the inner city knows for sure.
