It is three months since the events of "Beginning Time." Fiona and Sonder are now living on Santorini, enjoying idle time. The apocalypse, the Event, looms in the future, still two hundred years off, too far to worry about. Fiona is using her time travel skills to win lotteries and make their lives easier, while Sonder utilizes the time to learn and train.
