Description
The question of the Trinity doctrine has always fascinated me. It is a teaching that is needlessly complicated. It defies logic, common sense and even mathematics and it is tied to a vast pagan past. The evidence for pre-Christian heathen trinities is an embarrassment of riches. I somewhat understand the need for a Trinity within orthodox Christian belief. A Trinity doctrine provides a vehicle that can elevate Jesus Christ to the status of a Deity, of Almighty God Jehovah Himself. This is why many debates on the Trinity do not include all three members of the Triune Godhead, they are simply arguments for the deity/divinity of Christ. The articles in this anthology look at the Trinity doctrine from many angles as written by scholars & researchers of different stripes. Some of the articles may seem similar but each offers unique information and gems.
