Description
When Pat Curzon's doppelgänger is shot dead outside the Rio cafe, the DCI is convinced the bullet was meant for him. His fears are heightened when he suffers a series of violent attacks on the streets of Glasgow and has his Gardner Street flat ransacked. As if all this isn't bad enough, the detective's paranoia levels shoot through the stratosphere when several people from his past die in suspicious circumstances.
Constantly looking over the shoulder of his Burberry mac and peeping round every sandstone corner before going round it, Curzon tries to catch the person or people who are trying to kill him. To make matters even worse, the policeman is under constant pressure from his superiors to drop a prosecution he's pursuing against Thomas Maker, the dissolute scion of a major Scottish banking family. After a six-year struggle to get Maker into the dock for running down and killing two schoolboys in his red Porsche, will Curzon survive long enough to finally see justice done?
Curzon's Run contains strong language and scenes of a sexual nature.
