Description
The author was a noted Gerrman writer and critic, and also a philosopher. His book has been translated by T. Bailey Saunders, who goes to great lengths in his preface to explain his re-arrangement of some of the chapters in the original work. Although not a great writer, Mr. Schopenhauer had a keen interest in literature as an art form, and this forms the main content of his book.
