This is the story of Tracie Daily. There was death before in his family, his granddad was killed in Manchester, the culprits were killed or blinded. Luckily he never knew them. Yet the story was told often with pride. Violence was a natural part of his upbringing. By the time he was eight he'd had a stab victim on his sofa. However nothing could prepare him for the unpredictable demon in his home.

Tracie's Story takes you through the early years of abuse and through the care system, from the earliest memories of his alcoholic mother and into the psychopathic mind of his father. Macclesfield wasn't your average town in the 80's but then Tracie Daily wasn't your average boy.Filled with gang violence and hooliganism the estate wasn't a fun place, especially at night. The two pubs flanking the football ground didn't help to calm matters as the groups gathered.

Tracie was born at Macclesfield General hospital in September 1982. The first of four children. Quiet by choice, his world soon distorted between the immense reality of what was going on around him and the often clearer reality of his imagination. The lines started to blur in places where right and wrong were unknown. An unorthodox upbringing meant there was no black and white, only grey. Unsure who to trust he relied often at great detriment only on himself and so silence became his friend as he refused to speak.
