Description

This book is a short account of my experiences over the last six years of living with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). The title is based on a comment my doctor made about me during one of my early visits to the ALS Clinic. In March 2015, six months after my initial diagnosis, she said, "You've hardly changed! You seem to have a slow-progressing variety of the disease." In a later visit she told me I was a 'six-month guy.' By that she meant that it was taking about six months to see a significant difference in my condition. Other people with ALS can change much faster; some see changes after three months or even one month. But as for me, change has been much slower. This book describes how we have coped with these changes. With a foreword by Wendy Toyer and Dr. Andrew Eisen.
