Description
Racism has plagued humanity for years, generations, and millennia. America has not been an exception. Even as
progress is made and positive changes occur, racism remains a painful and difficult part of not only our past, but our present. The truth is, racism is a sin problem, and will always plague humanity. But the Lord's church should stand as a beacon of what it means to triumph over racism in love and unity. As with other sins, however, this is not always an easy task, nor one that is accomplished speedily. Knowing about and understanding the reality of racism is an important step in overcoming it. In this issue, six men have written articles from their unique perspectives to recount their personal encounters, both positive and negative, with racial relations. We hope these articles will be informative and will exhort all Christians to shed any prejudice they may harbor and commit to loving their fellow man as God the Father loves all the world.
