Nettie Tucker hasn't seen her nephew Nick for over ten years, so when he calls her out of the blue, she's thrilled. A footloose bohemian, Nick has been living in Italy since he dropped out of college, and he's never called his Aunt Nettie before. It doesn't take long for her to figure out that Nick has a hidden agenda, and he's probably in trouble. Is he looking for help from Aunt Nettie? An on-again, off-again tour guide who only picks up jobs when he runs out of money, Nick has been hired by an American family that seems delightful - at first. Daddy is rich and mommy is a socialite, but with them are two nubile coeds who just might get Nick into trouble. Still, young men like Nick have lots of experience with the ladies; their first reaction isn't to call on their dear old aunts for help - not with their love lives, anyway. So what could Nick's problem actually be? Add to the mix a mystery couple who may or may not be what they appear to be and there are a lot of questions that need to be answered.

It's hard to take Nick seriously when he starts talking about murder, but the more time Nettie and Henry spend with the people in the tour group, the more they worry that Nick might just be right - murder is in the air, and with Nick's lifestyle, he would be the perfect fall guy.
