Description

The Battle of Pecubah having been waged and the descent into Pontifrax undertaken, Lord Belmundus wanders into Magus for his appointment with the Elector of Zin, the dark lord Grimakadarian. The fate of the war hinges on this meeting; and the hope of an easement to the conflict is dim. So, a curse of great magnitude is expected -- an adumbration to plague the citizens of Montjoy. Returning to the Ayelli Hill, Lord Belmundus must plan for an onslaught and resolve the many issues which have risen during his absence. Will the adumbration of Zin come in the form of either fire or ice? What defense can be mounted to shield Montjoy from this plague? But on the periphery, other threats infringe the border -- threats lethal both to flesh and to honor.

The Adumbration of Zin is the thirteenth book in the fifteen book series, The Adventures of Lord Belmundus, a remarkable tale of others worlds, strange customs, beauty and warfare; and, in its grips, lands a young celebrity, who has the chaps to play the many parts this great journey requires. Montjoy is threatened but two invaders -- a curse, the nasty nessundormicus, an Adumbration for Zin, and an attack from an older enemy. Meanwhile, Lord Belmundus seeks a solution for both while trying to mediate internal chaos rising within his jurisdiction -- from housing for foreign guests to contentions between Lady Mirapwasgi and Tarhippus. Born to be an actor, can Harris Cartwright rise to the occasion and muddle his way through his role? Are their enough arrows in his quiver to hit the mark and make a difference? Come place your bets on the outcome, and do not be shy.
