Can a serial killer be cured?

The London streets are the hunting ground of a merciless serial killer who leaves his dismembered victims in the shape of a clock face at each crime scene.

DCI Paul Webb is a detective obsessed with his ex-girlfriend, tasked with trying to track down the Clock-killer. But he needs help to get inside the killer's mind. Along comes Dr Kirill Fedorov, a dying Russian who believes he can stop disturbed children becoming serial killers.

Luke Wind is the only British child Dr Fedorov supposedly cured of becoming a serial killer, and is persuaded by Webb to help him track down The Clock. But when the killings start to look personal, the detective begins to wonder whether Luke was cured of being a killer at all. Soon DCI Webb gets closer to capturing the killer but finds himself facing a devastating ultimatum...

From the Author
Along with many of the reading population of the world, I've been a crime fiction fan for a long time. I've followed the adventures, a lot of them very gritty, of several different detectives. But the more research I carried out into the police force, I realised that having one detective solve every case wasn't realistic, so I created the Special Crime Group operating out of Edmonton Police Station. Each murder case has a different lead detective, but one thing remains the same: the murders they investigate are dark, twisted and gritty, just the way I've always liked them.

MURDERSON was my first attempt at a serial killer murder investigation, and I had a lot of fun writing it, researching the nature of such killers and their wicked ways. The character of Fedorov was based on a real Russian doctor who believed he could stop disturbed children becoming serial offenders. Again, I had fun writing about what would happen if one such child found himself living a 'normal' life.

Another important point I always raise when discussing this series of books, is the fact that I decided long ago that any of my characters can die at anytime!

I hope you enjoy.

About the Author
Mark Yarwood is a crime writer, but also enjoys writing books in other genres. He is a former animator, sketch writer, editor, and comic book artist.

His first four EDMONTON POLICE STATION THRILLERS, which began with SPIDER MOUTH, have been well received, and the series has been praised for the lack of a permanent main detective character; instead he uses various members of the SPECIAL CRIME GROUP as the lead characters in each book in the series.

The first of his SEAN FAINT novels, FIRELAND has recently been published and will be followed by the 5th book in the EDMONTON POLICE STATION THRILLER series.

Born in London, he now lives with his wife and daughter in Plymouth, Devon.
