From the Author
Along with many of the reading population of the world, I've been a crime fiction fan for a long time. I've followed the adventures, a lot of them very gritty, of several different detectives. But the more research I carried out into the police force, I realised that having one detective solve every case wasn't realistic, so I created the Special Crime Group operating out of Edmonton Police Station. Each murder case has a different lead detective, but one thing remains the same: the murders they investigate are dark, twisted and gritty, just the way I've always liked them.
MURDERSON was my first attempt at a serial killer murder investigation, and I had a lot of fun writing it, researching the nature of such killers and their wicked ways. The character of Fedorov was based on a real Russian doctor who believed he could stop disturbed children becoming serial offenders. Again, I had fun writing about what would happen if one such child found himself living a 'normal' life.
Another important point I always raise when discussing this series of books, is the fact that I decided long ago that any of my characters can die at anytime!
I hope you enjoy.
