Description
Erika Nelson could have been a Valkyrie escorting fallen Vikings to the Halls of Valhalla, but she isn't. She's a smuglgler specializing in Canadian whiskey. Tall, blonde, and beautiful, she's hooked up with veteran rum runner Tomas McGinnis. The year is 1926 and the pair are running whiskey from Vancouver south through Puget Sound into Prohibition thirsty Seattle. It's a lucrative endeavor, but not without its perils. In Tom's boat, the Irish Rose, they might be motoring blithely across the sun-dappled waters of Puget Sound or fleeing from US Treasury agents, Coast Guard cutters, pirates, and hijackers while dodging waves and fog banks during the stormiest of nights. The Irish Rose is fast and seaworthy, but she can't outrun the Coast Guard cannons or bullets from the hijackers' sub-machine guns, and she can't fly over barely submerged reefs. For a whiskey runner the dangers lurk everywhere.
