Description
For all interested conservatives, a compact guide to how Schopenhauer's classic treatise can be your guide to real insight into modern political debates.
-What is the true nature of debate
-How bad arguments win
-How good arguments lose
-What is really at stake in an argument
I have reproduced this work, with my own comments, in the hopes that conservatives nationwide will gain insight into the techniques and tactics that the unscrupulous use to defeat and embarrass their opponents in public. No message can get across if people don't listen to it and by mastering a knowledge of the 38 ways you will gain the unique ability to really be able judge not just the strength of an argument, but the strength of the arguer. You will be able to see a side of argument most people are unconscious of and better be able to defend your beliefs. You will also gain a knowledge of what you can expect to see in any controversy and become a better judge of who is really the best candidate to carry the public. With my commentary, see some modern applications of these techniques, and possible ways to defend against them.
