Description

The Babi Yar Chapter is an historically complete, precise and definitive account of what took place at the massacre of more than 30,000 people in Babi Yar ravine, Kiev, Ukraine on September 29-30, 1941 by Nazi SS Einsatzgruppen (Special Task Forces).

This Babi Yar Chapter is taken from Lee Vidor's novel, Under Total Eclipse We Will Tremble Like Birds Without Song, which is an historically accurate fictional account of Europe under Nazi Occupation.

Even though The Babi Yar Chapter is only a concise single chapter in the novel, it is very closely based on documentary evidence and the only existing eyewitness survivor account of the massacre. Every extant piece of documentary evidence has been examined and incorporated into this document, there are no other authentic documentary sources of the actual massacre in existence.

The Babi Yar Chapter is a literary dramatization of the specific and complete eyewitness court testimony of Dina Mironovna Pronicheva, the only documented survivor of the massacre.

Lee Vidor states:

The Babi Yar Chapter is an accurate dramatization of the events which occurred at Babi Yar ravine in 1941. Every factual thing that is known about the events and methods of that day is contained in this publication.

Authentic documentary evidence on the Babi Yar massacre is so rare that to write The Babi Yar Chapter as a novel chapter a good deal of additional research into general SS Einsatzgruppen execution methods and photographic archives was necessary.

All of the other books on Babi Yar merely cover the summoning of the Jews to the ravine and the subsequent exhumation of the bodies following the Nazi retreat from Kiev. This publication accurately covers the actual massacre with concision and completeness. It also includes standard SS Einsatzgruppen execution methods which are not described in the eyewitness testimony.

It's my view that The Babi Yar Chapter is the most reliable, complete and harrowing presentation of the events of Babi Yar ravine which exists.

This concise publication also contains a complimentary copy of The Auschwitz Chapter, which is also published on Amazon.
