Description
My husband and I lost our youngest son, Richard at the age of 22 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. This book is NOT a memoir of our son. This book does NOT detail the accident, horror, or trauma unit activities.
This book is about ME, the mother of a young man, ripped away in his prime. This book is about MY journey through the darkest hours, days, weeks, months and yes, even years in the aftermath of what I thought would end my life forever. This book shares MY darkest thoughts and experiences as I tried to cope with my 'new reality'.
This book was NOT put through an editing process. I am not a professional writer. If your focus is on grammatical issues - this is NOT the book for you. This is a book focused on the issues of the HEART. This is my experience with grief, written from the heart, with emotion. You may think by now why should I buy this book. This book is for those who have ventured through the myriad of grief books and are still searching for answers. Answers yet to be found.
This book is for those who think they will never recover from this loss. This book is for those who feel like they are all alone and that no one 'gets it.' I get it. I still feel alone. Yet, I am still here.
We are here for each other.
And as the journey with grief is a journey of a lifetime - Two and a half years after sharing my darkest moments in hopes of reaching mothers who by no choice of their own, have now joined us; I recently released, "Tomorrow Is Waiting, An Interactive Guide for Living with Grief".
Our tomorrows don't quit, as you know they still come. Each one brings with it the opportunities of change and perspective. I hope you will check it out, it may be just the hope you were looking for.
