Justin Marozzi is a Councillor of the Royal Geographic Society and a Senior Research Fellow at Buckingham University. His previous books include the bestselling Tamerlane: Sword of Islam, a Sunday Telegraph Book of the Year (2004), and The Man Who Invented History: Travels with Herodotus.
