Meg woke up to what she thought would be a normal day. Go to school, see her friends, get a test back and enjoy a Halloween Party. It was supposed to be a fun day. But then everything changed. She was late to school and forgot completely about the spirit of the holiday, but it didn't forget about her.

As Meg's day goes from bad to worse, she wonders if it will ever end. She loses the boy she thought loved her to a best friend who decided to stab in her in the back. But that is the least of Meg's problems. When the day finally comes to a close and her eyes shut to go to sleep, the worst part of her day begins as she finds herself trapped in a freakish nightmare where hearts are pulled apart and giant spiders roam her mind.

She'll have to face her worst fears from her day and show them that she is indeed more than she thinks she is. Halloween will give her the chance to not only experience the nightmare, but understand that maybe, just maybe at the end of that horrible road shines a very bright light.
