In 1985, Robert F. Kennedy High School suffered a great fire that destroyed the upper floor of the school and killed five hundred people. The souls of many of the perished remain to haunt the school. While most are not aware they are dead, some have realized it long ago, but are still trying to answer the many questions being a ghost seems to raise.

On the thirtieth anniversary of the fire, young Hunter Mitchell and his friends Kensie and Jordan explore the school in hopes to see some paranormal activity. They are not the only living things in the school. They will soon learn that it is the living, not the dead, that they need to fear.
