Book Synopsis: "If you had a chance to be taken by friendly aliens on a voyage to see the wonders of the universe, but it meant you had to change yourself in some way and that you would never see your loved ones again, what choice would you make; stay or leave?" Carlton Longstreet is a police officer for the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) and works out of the Mescalero, New Mexico Headquarters. He patrols the Mescalero Apache Indian reservation in and around the White Mountains region of the Lincoln Forrest located in south central New Mexico. The region was experiencing a hundred year drought, and for the past three months many local people have mysteriously gone missing and many large animals have been found mutilated. When Carl's son stumbles on a most gruesome site in the desert near his ranch, Carl tries to investigate, but the military intervenes and warns him to stay away. Who are these mysterious men dressed in black, and what secrets are they keeping from the local authorities? FBI Agent Clinton Walker brings his ETV team of agents back from Scotland after helping the Scottish government and their agents deal with an extraterrestrial threat at an archaeological site on the Isle of Skye. After their return, Clint must split his team into three groups to investigate two other visitations around the globe, and another major threat discovered within the miles of caverns located under the New Mexican desert. He must work with the military to find and thwart the threat before it creates havoc and death among the local people and possibly the entire world. What will they find and how will they control the threat? In an effort to understand why Skylar Thomas has been able to dream about future events, Clint brings her to Albuquerque to meet with FBI Psychologist, Dr. Singer. When Dr. Singer hypnotizes Skye, what will he learn about her past, and will he discover why she is now dreaming about strange places and animals? Will she survive a new and dangerous journey? Henry (Dancing Owl) Moonstone is 92 and one of the Apache elders historically responsible for helping keep the Mescalero Apache reservation lands free for his people. He is a World War II vet, owns a scientific business in town along with ten percent of the local casino. He senses that an evil entity has cast a shadow on his lands and his people. He's having strange dreams that correlate with the old Apache myth about a White Painted Woman. He has a plan, but will that plan save his people and their lands from pending doom once again?
