Description
Peter Wentworth is a teenager on a journey of discovery. He is the new kid on the block, and the new guy at school, unsure of where to fit in. Everything is complicated with an abundance of miscommunication, misinterpretation, and misunderstanding.
Jeremiah is Peter's eleven year old next door neighbor, a kid with a quick wit and an easy smile. Miah becomes Peter's unexpected friend and ally.
Emma is Jeremiah's mother, a working single mom making a home for her son. Through Peter, she will rediscover her past.
Alec, Peter's dad, is an elite cop who is too protective. He wants to create safety for his son in an unpredictable world. He must learn to trust Peter. Alec finds understanding, tenderness and love with Emma, though it's too soon after Alec's wife's death.
Red and Punk are two teens who dislike any others at school who act different from them. They feel persecuted and bullied. They isolate themselves and make a violent plan to get even, forcing Peter to join them.
As terrifying events threaten them, Peter, Miah, Emma, and Alec become family.
