Description
A series of six monographs document an evaluation of a urine-testing program undertaken by the District of Columbia's Pretrial Services Administration (PSA). This volume presents major findings from PSA's urine-testing of arrestees brought through the D.C. Superior Court lockup. The monograph discusses the rates and types of drug use found; the characteristics of users of various types of drugs, as compared with non-users of drugs; how urine-test results compared with defendants' self reports of drug use; and the pretrial release rates of users of various types of drugs.
