Description
West Germany, December 1968. Colonel MacKenzie, head of the top secret US Army Intelligence unit, Section 2, uses his connections to get Sergeant Talbot out of Mannheim Military Prison. Talbot, a convicted thief is hired by MacKenzie to pull "odd jobs" for the section. Talbot's first assignment is to burgle a safe belonging to West German politician, Hagen Hofmann. Hofmann, debonair and wealthy, is suspected of working for General Markus Wolf and the East German Stasi. Talbot's "one off" burglary propels him into a gray, bleak labyrinth of Cold War intrigue and terror.
Jock Lewis served as a US Army Intelligence officer in Europe during the Cold War.
