Jack Stubbs, sweet shop owner and wily Chairman of Shilton F.C. thought the time was right for a celebration to mark the 35th anniversary of the Tynesiders' legendary International Cup triumph of 1971 and to incorporate the Colliers' annual Players Awards into one big event.
