It is simply daylight robbery. The problem is we are all a soft target. Much easier to catch a motorist who'll pay up, than say burglar Bill, or anti social Alan... and we motorists do wonders for the regional Police forces arrest figures.
The speeding fines are a fantastic way of generating revenue for the government... and most of us seem to accept this situation without question.

Ever since I was given 3 penalty points and a £60 ticket for driving 32mph one evening at 10.15pm by a Gatso that had recently been installed on a road which to my knowledge had never had a fatality, plus it was sited on a bend, behind a tree, I decided that enough is enough, there must be something we can do.
