Description
After five years of prison and homelessness for a crime he didn't commit, Harry Langston has risen from the ashes to wreak vengeance on those who betrayed him. In his struggle, he has found a true friend in a homeless African American prize fighter with an explosive right hand, and perhaps another in the nurse who saved his life on New Year's Eve when he lay senseless in a homeless shelter.
But what of those who betrayed him? What of Josh Hayes, Norm Stanley, and Cassandra Hayes, formerly Cassandra Langston, now enjoying the riches and sex she craves. For them, Harry Langston is a fading memory. Like rising stars, Josh, Norm, and Cassandra enjoy their success and fortune, oblivious to the vigilante rising out of Mexico, a man with one mission -- their destruction.
Amazon Reviews:
"As a fan of the first book in this series, I eagerly anticipated the release of Vengeance is Mine, and it did not disappoint. This installment takes things up a notch, delivering a storyline that's more graphic but equally captivating. It's the kind of book you can't put down; once you start, you'll find yourself racing through it to see how it all unfolds. What stands out to me is the author's writing style -- effortlessly engaging and immersive. The vivid descriptions and well-researched scenes make you feel like you're right there in the middle of the action. The "bad guys" in this one are particularly memorable, adding layers of tension and intrigue to the story. The pacing is spot-on, making it feel like a cable mini-series packed into a book. It's a quick, satisfying read that's perfect for a weekend. If you enjoyed the first book, this one will pull you deeper into the series. I highly recommend it!" (Carlos Wallace 1/25)
"Always had a fascination with antiheroes and this author made Harry's story so vivid. Strap on and check out this thriller for yourself." (J. Kelly)
Effective second book in the series which vividly describes the protagonist's revenge on those who betrayed him. Actually, he takes it out on a few additional creeps who also contributed to his pain in Book One. Lots of violent action, fast-paced, and well-written for those who don't mind the bloodshed. (AC)
A powerful sequel to From the Depths. Langston has been transformed into a lethal killing machine following his five years in hell. I liked the realistic dialogue and drama. I figured Langston's wife and friends were going to pay dearly for their betrayals, and the author didn't disappoint. The best scene is Langston's confrontation with the Sons-of-Cristo gang leader. Good reading if you like the darker side of life. (Lee Carter)
Well written hard to put down. (John-UK)
