Description

Karl a young German carver is left with a baby daughter and fear of being forced into the Nazi army. Leaving the child with his aunt and cousin that live in the country he promises to return and try to escape to America with them. He is drafted and sent to Africa where he is captured by the Americans. As a prisoner of war he finds himself on a peninsula in Sidnaw, Michigan. Not knowing if she is alive and well he prays she is here in America. His journey begins when the war is over.
