The years following the end of the Qing dynasty were some of the most turbulent in Chinese history. Finally, you will see Pu Yi, the last Chinese emperor, as a private citizen, finding his place in the new Communist China, where without wealth and rank he found a new, more domestic role in his final years, before the Cultural revolution, and politics, intervened once again.
