Description

In 2195, mankind's solitary position in the galaxy comes to an abrupt end when an interstellar disaster ignites conflict with an unstoppable enemy.

After decades of fruitless exploration, mankind resigns itself to a solitary existence in the cosmos. Ageing cruise liners weave through ancient wormholes taking declining numbers of passengers to lonely star systems devoid of sentient life.

Matthew Skyman, raised solely by his father, dreamt of a vacation to the furthest reaches of explored space. But Matt's father is tragically killed before they can set off. Ten years later, Matt honors his father's memory by undertaking "The Starport Adventure" on his own.

A freak accident sends Matt's cruise liner light years off course. The massive ship smashes into an alien city, killing millions. Believing the incident to be an act of war, the powerful alien race retaliates by attacking Terran ships sent to investigate the catastrophe. Unprepared for this kind of conflict, Earth's outmatched forces struggle to rescue survivors whilst avoiding their own destruction as the disastrous first contact escalates into all-out war.

The Enrileans are determined to completely annihilate the human race. They believe humanity has a connection to their own ancient gods; powerful beings wiped out by their ancestors in an atrocity concealed by a twisted religion that completely dominates the empire.

Matt, stranded on an alien world, finds safety in a fantastically advanced spacecraft designed by an ageing alien scientist, beginning a journey beyond anything the human race has ever known in a spacecraft that is the only hope for preserving humanity's future.
