Description
In a desolate, post-apocalyptic world, how far will a father go to save his daughter's life?
In a world ravaged by the collapse of Earth's oceans, humanity teeters on the brink of survival. Jeremy Colt is a father driven by an unyielding determination to protect his daughter, Sam. With only their bikes and the packs on their backs, they must reach San Diego before her medicine runs out. With resources dwindling and danger lurking at every turn, their journey westward through a fractured America is a desperate bid to find the one place that might hold the key to Sam's survival.
Haunted by the sacrifices of those he's loved and lost, Jeremy wrestles with the weight of his choices, the crushing uncertainty of hope, and the shadow of his own humanity. Together with Seth, a resilient boy who's become like family, they traverse fire-scorched deserts, abandoned towns, and treacherous landscapes in search of a future that may not exist.
The clock is ticking.
Can they get there fast enough?
And if they do, will it even save her?

Note from the author:
I've always been a fan of survival stories because I love watching people conquer adversity. My sister is diabetic, and I found myself wondering what post-apocalyptic life would be like for people who need insulin to survive. From there, the story took on a life of its own. I hope you enjoy it. -Julia
