Description
Rome has ordered a census to be taken throughout the land of Israel. The resulting movement of families to abide by this law and be counted has brought unexpected days of wealth for Micah and his wife, keepers of a small inn located on the edge of Bethlehem. His inn is now full most nights and he often has to turn people away. But when a young pregnant woman and her husband approach from the road his heart is touched by their plight. The wife has started her labor and Micah is determined to find them shelter even though every room is taken. He and his wife start a race with time as the labor pains increase and he searches for a tenant willing to give up a room. Micah is sure someone will have the heart of mercy to help with such a desperate need. Won't they?
In this retelling of the Christmas story, attitudes and willingness of heart are revealed as inconvenience and social position are put to the test.
