Description
Based on fiction, but could it be fact? Did Adolf Hitler escape from Nazi Germany? Don't miss out on this amazing read into an alternative history!
The Wagnerian Assignment
History states that the German Führer, Adolf Hitler, committed suicide in the Führerbunker on 30th April 1945. What if this didn't happen and there was another account to the recognised version? The novel accounts for his and his mistress's escape from Berlin before it fell to the Red Army, which stays true to history.
The true-life last mission, given to SS Standartenführer Otto Skorzeny, Hitler's chief of special troops, was to go to the Obersalzberg in March 1945 to set up a national redoubt around his Führer's Mountain retreat, the Berghof to protect him from the advancing Allies. Still, when he arrived, he found the area void of war with nothing in place and discovering Hitler was dead, he went into hiding before surrendering to the Americans and ending his war.
What has been written is a fictional account of what may have happened if Skorzeny had found everything in place and he had protected his Führer after his arrival.
True to a historical timeline, the book follows Skorzeny and Major Robertson, of British military intelligence, two war heroes and adversaries, who join forces to help Hitler escape, albeit for different reasons.
Take an adventure through the pages of the Wagnerian Assignment, a compelling account of how Adolf Hitler may have escaped from Berlin and what happened to him after.
