Description

John's dead... but that's just the beginning...

Hell has a problem. Two actually. The souls of Sandy Logan and Ian Noble are missing. This, as it happens, is a big deal. Brimstone, the demon responsible for the Soul Catcher, believes the most likely outcome is the end of the Universe. It's obviously only a guess, it's never happened before. John Hewson is the only person who can remove their curiosity. His deal sounds simple enough. Find the lost souls before the solstice and in return he can have his life back. There's only one issue. They've been reincarnated into something organic, somewhere on Earth. John's hoping it's a tree, they're much easier to catch.

As John uses a series of 'hosts' to return to Earth he discovers that the pair died attempting to stop the British Prime Minister unleashing Emorfed, a supernatural substance designed to completely remove human emotions, on the unsuspecting public. If Emorfed succeeds it could change the very state of humanity, living or dead. But every human has a hidden weapon deep inside their soul. It's called the Limpet Syndrome. Because even in death, life finds a way.

Can John learn the secrets of the Limpet Syndrome, recover the missing souls and learn the strange circumstances of his own death before the Universe disintegrates around him?
