For three horror movie obsessed youths growing up in the 1990's, a routine trip to the local video store will change their lives.

On a hot summer day, two brothers and a mutual friend pay a visit to their local mom and pop video store. Looking for the most disturbing tape they can find, the boys choose an obscure Russian horror film titled Brainrot. After a mass murder, the obscure and mysterious horror movie, available only on VHS, will become the stuff of terrifying urban legend.
