Description

The Humans and their Gods had come to this World Millennia before, Displacing the Native Eldritch and Their Gods

The Gods protect their worshippers from the depredations of other peoples, leading to a stability to the kingdoms of men. Border clashes still occur, lands are won and lost, but the core lands of the Gods continue on.

The Demon Death God of the Turkish Nomads, Erlic, has decided to change the equation. He would be the only God on this world, and all lands would be under his sway. First to fall is his brother, Tengri, the Sky God of the steppes, his worshippers killed or subverted to Erlic's worship. Tengri becomes a Walking God, a former deity confined to a mortal body, still more than a man, but much less than a God. Erlic sends his army against the civilized nations, his necromancers, led by a powerful lich, raising an army of undead from the bodies of those the nomads have slain. Tengri is on a mission to stop his brother, aided by the other deities who are thrown to the earth when their nations fall.

Marcus is a young mage from the land of Aegypt, on a quest with his master and fellow students for a land where they will be welcome. The King of Aegypt is determined to imprison them at the advice of his priests, and the last wizards in the Western world are on the run. They are seeking a king to protect them, and they believe they have found the perfect one.

King Rory McMennamin is the leader of the Eirish Kingdom, the strongest power in the west. His pikemen, musketeer's and artillery are the best in the world, used to keep his lands strong and secure. Rory is estranged from his own Gods since they had let his wife die while giving birth to the youngest of his three sons. Rory has been a bitter man since that day, cursing the Gods of his people. Having the most powerful army and navy on the continent, he is a natural ally for both demigods and mages. But his Church is determined to stop him from allowing non-divine magic users into the kingdom, and will go to any lengths to protect their monopoly.

??? Barbarian hordes threaten to wipe out civilization, turning the living into an army of the undead. Three unlikely allies are all that can stop them. If they fail, the world of men is doomed, and along with them all the gods but the most evil of them all.
