The Anniversary Killer is Stevie Shaw's fourth book. In common with the others, it is set partly in Fuerteventura, although this is a much darker crime thriller. We follow a young detective constable, Shelly King, as she and her colleagues begin by investigating an alleged rape, and subsequently find themselves hunting for a serial killer. Thanks to a pattern of offending that they come to recognise, they believe that they have set their trap, and can lie in wait for the killer. Along the way, we see something of Shelly's personal life; especially her relationship with another female cop that she meets in Fuerteventura. But, relationships aside, Shelly's main focus is on protecting a potential victim, and catching a killer. However, things don't always go to plan; it's dangerous to make assumptions about anyone...
