Swarali, an idealistic college student, meets and befriends Ila, a young transgender woman. Their budding friendship forces her to examine her own values and that of society at large.

Tragedy befalls when Ila's growing visibility is perceived as a threat to established norms -- Ila finds herself embroiled in a salacious scandal, and she and Swarali must do all that they can to fight back against an unjust and uncaring system.
