Another world within the threads of our world; what an absurd idea!

We sense the foreboding power we humans have in possessing the free will to chose our path. This power can be a beacon for good; it can spawn evil. Might there be yet another power? Might there be a power of checks and balances that we have yet to understand?

Consider a conversation between Max and Emma within the pages of "Doctor Goodevil" before answering.

"Easy goin' there Emma. Don't go all 'science-fiction' on me. I was more or less in the 'frightened out of their wits hallucination' camp. Surely all of the victims were under immense stress, but fire my ass! This guy is probably just some kind of an illusionist."

"Well Max let's put the 'Flaming Doctor' statements to the side for a second and just concentrate on the age disparity of this individual's description that somehow spans almost ninety years of crime records. Age disparity Max, that's what has me thinking. You see, before I was recruited from Florida State by the FBI my goal was to become an Oceanographer. I love the sea and all it could provide in solutions that could possibly save mankind in the future. In college my special interest was the mysteries held by the many species of Jellyfish."

Max chuckled under his breath. "Jellyfish? Whoa Emma, how'd we go from Flamin' Doctors that appear to make house calls to Jellyfish? Seriously Emma; Jellyfish? What does a slippery Jellyfish have to do with this case? God do you hear us? Is this the weirdest conversation two people can have or what?"

"Only if you don't consider the similarities Max. You see, I know of one species, the Hydrozoans, that you could say are a world apart from other Jellyfish. The one I'm referring to is called the 'Immortal Jellyfish;' its' scientific name is Turritopsis dohrnii. They're so small you could pack quite a few of them into just one water drop, but as small as they are, they have a power that modern science is unable to unravel. Max, the word 'Immortal' says it all. You see they seem to possess a lifecycle that actually skips death. It appears that they can revert from an adult medusa back to a polyp and begin their lifecycle all over again."

Emma stared straight at Max, a signal he had deciphered long ago as saying without the need for words that she was serious. "Max, if proof of rejuvenation is packed into that speck of a jellyfish, who are we to say that this rejuvenating power doesn't exist in other forms? There just may be another world within the threads of our world."
