Description
This book is the fourth and last of a series describing the life of Lord Krishna as told in the ancient scripture known as the Srimad Bhagavatam. It describes the final portion of Krishna's life on Earth. In particular, it describes His great spiritual teachings related to the attainment of liberation known as the 'Uddhava Gita' or the 'Hamsa Gita' (which contain similar concepts to the Bhagavad Gita). He teaches that one should respect all beings and things as manifestations of the one Supreme Being and cultivate devotion to Him. This, He says is the simplest way to attain the spiritual goal of liberation. As with the previous books in this series, this book also contains some wonderful interactions between Krishna and His devotees, including a reunion with the gopis (cowherd women) of Vrindavana and two noble householders.
