Description
Dutch cuisine is dominated by fish, dairy and cheese products, their ancestors being fishermen and farmers. The Dutch East India Company allowed a breakthrough in other cultures and their cuisine. This had a historical influence on Dutch culture. The Dutch-Indonesian dishes best known were the 'Rice-Table' or 'rijsttafel'. There were other dishes brought over from other nations allowing the Dutch to eat kebab, shawarma, and falafel. There was always lots of bread and potato to cook.
From this cookbook a person would learn how to cook the hearty meals of the north. Meals that could fill and warm a person to their content. You may not pronounce all the names, but that's ok if the food works out well.
There are 'how-to' lessons and recipes enclosed. Take a copy and start today.
