Description

I have published several books about Coosa county and it's communities with the help of several friends. This one will focus mostly on Weogufka, one of the three largest communities in the county along with Rockford and Goodwater. Weogufka and it's surrounding areas are full of stories and was considered one of the premier towns in the county. There was of course the American Legion dance on top of the mountain, the old high school and a vital downtown that is just a faded memory now. Many families lived here, grew up here and learned lessons of life that would serve them well the rest of their lives. Not much left now but sweet memories and a fondness of the heart that time cannot erase. I hope you enjoy these stories from your Coosa cousins.
