Description
This newly abridged sixth and final volume of Aristotle's foundational treatise on Logic has been carefully edited for the benefit of contemporary general readers. 'On Sophistical Refutation,' the Organon's final volume, examines the various modes of error and deception employed, either by accident or intent, in arguments both formal and informal.
In addition to a close edit of the entire work, I have added occasional paragraph headings as quick summaries along the way. Many examples in support of arguments were trimmed when I felt that one or two of the best were sufficient to illustrate the point. No essential thought or idea is missing from the original.
