Description
Six weeks have passed since the official founding of the settlement known as Haven.
In that time, things have settled into a nice routine for David and the ladies in his life. He's been surprised to learn that he actually makes a half-decent village leader, though he imagines some of that has to do with the fact that he shares the job with three very capable women. But things have been going well. Their settlement is well-guarded, their people are happy, and they have a steady stream of food, clean water, and firewood to stay warm during the long, cold nights of winter.
But he can't deny that something feels wrong. The stalkers, nymphs who have been turned into the undead, have been stepping up their attacks, and there seem to be more of them than ever. His suspicions are confirmed when Lara, their military friend (with benefits for him), shows up and asks for help. One of Lima Company's scouting squads has gone missing investigating the increase in undead activity, and they are officially asking Haven for assistance.
David agrees, but as the joint operation heads into the dead forests to investigate the situation, they uncover proof that not only is the threat far worse than they could have imagined, but the fundamental nature of the stalkers is shifting in a far more terrifying way...
