Although he can sometimes - with the benefit of hindsight - be somewhat of an unreliable narrator, the personal mission accounts of Sergeant Gary Cooper still provide a valuable insight into the Earth Alliance Marine Corps. While we may only glimpse events, 'in a mirror, darkly', as it were, everything which increases our knowledge and understanding of 'The Fall' should be embraced - with due deference for understandable bias.

While some of the sergeant's recollections, assertions and - indeed - allegations concerning this period flatly contradict the official historical record, no attempt has been made to censor or correct his account, which remains verbatim.
