The Gem master series is based around a central character, a ten-year-old girl called Lara who's mother disappears into a magical Realm. Lara finds a way to enter this land through an old oak tree known as the portal tree. But, in this world, she must face many dangers and worse still the only doorway between worlds is dying. This book sees Lara on a quest to find stardust.
She must gather some of this elusive substance so that she can make a potion to save her portal tree and ultimately find her mother.
This book is aimed at children aged 8-12 years old. It is full of magic and magical creatures all created by its ten-year-old author Alexandria Brown.
