Description
Maggie Prescott is haunted by her memories. Without warning the most innocent and obscure things- a song playing on the radio, the smell of steak sizzling on her grill, or seeing a child snuggling with their teddy bear suddenly bring her back to the very place and time she's tried so desperately to forget. She is forced to re-live the horror of Vietnam. During that war Maggie had been stationed along with her best friend, Kate O'Brien, at the 71st Evacuation Hospital located deep in enemy territory on the Cambodian border. Somehow, someway in that God-forsaken place Maggie had experienced the love of a lifetime with a dustoff pilot, only to return to the States alone, without her best friend or her soulmate. She eventually marries another man and successfully hides from her past- until her life unravels around her. The Precious Wentletrap is a story of healing which will help anyone who has experienced tremendous loss in their lives, especially those recovering from Post-traumatic stress disorder.
