"All I can say is WOW. I mean really, WOW. Got my heart beating like a kettle drum." Tony Gianopoulos
Captain Galvin Quintos had returned home to Earth soon after liberating Ironhold Station from a ruthless band of Pylorian pirates. But the Grish had been waiting for his transport ship -- an attack he barely survived. Now, three months later, he's still recuperating within the walls of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Just today, Quintos has learned of a new intergalactic adversary -- a highly advanced alien force, the Varapin - who are currently en route from the Andromeda Galaxy. Intel has it, these ghoulish-looking aliens are now aligned with the Grish, and together, they're hell-bent on annihilating all humanity. Quintos, certain his crew has already moved on to other posts, and his ship, the USS Hamilton, surely is still in space dock with battle damage. He must figure out how to get back into the fight and do so fast.

Wow- what a series! Miasma Burn is Incredible! USS Hamilton Miasma Burn is awesome. This is turning out to be an incredible military science fiction series. To anyone who likes Craig Alanson or BV Larson, I highly recommend this series by MWM. I also urge people to check out Mark's new book, Heroes and Zombies - Lura G; Entertaining Space Opera. If you want to read something, get totally engrossed, and forget about your worries - read USS Hamilton Miasma Burn. I read this in one day. Yeah, I didn't sleep, but it was worth it. Man, I love a good Military sci-fi story. Thanks, Mark. Keep 'em coming! - JC; Incredible scifi military series! Other reviews have noted that this series has a lot of Start Trek flavor to it. The new villain in this book really is right out of a couple of both the original and Next Gen episodes. Love it. (Won't do a spoiler - up to you to figure them out.) By the time I finished, it felt like a whole set of the original Star Trek - on steroids;
Action and irreverent humor. The story is still action-packed, just not quite as frantic as Book 1. A twisted military style still holds, and more than a couple of situations are extraordinary. It's a fun, total fantasy, complete escapism read. If you are looking for something to explore the deep meaning of life, the inequities or prejudices of culture: this is clearly not it. On the other hand, I was looking for just plain fun reading and a well-written story. This series is totally that. Enjoying it immensely. Thanks, Mark. - Stacy
