Paulette Marie Collier had lived her entire life in the city of Manchester, New Hampshire, but she took a chance and left her mill job to go to Oregon as a potential bride. Once there, she struggles to adapt to the wide-open spaces of Sawyerville, not to mention the rough and rugged loggers who live there.
